Even in our online world, some things are still printed! If you receive a blueline (the final proof from the printer), remember that every change costs you money. Check that the printer made any earlier changes you requested. As for your own mistakes, only change the most egregious, or expect to pay extra. And learn for next time.
Shenandoah
Returning from a few days in the Shenandoah Valley that included a hike along the Great North Mountain trail, a ridgeline that separates Virginia and West Virginia.
Rock walls like this one lined a few portions. Here's something to ponder as a good writing prompt--who built them and why?
In four hours, we saw three people--a couple at the beginning meandering with walking sticks, and an energetic solo hiker marching along with a round metal canteen and his topo map encased in plastic. Other than that, only signs of animals (bears?) and a plane far up in the sky. I want to find out more about the earlier use of the trail.
